Hello!
This is my first time blogging so I hope the other members of my class will help me out!! For the past few years I have been writing a journal during my lunch duty......well most days. Sometimes lunch duty can be very interesting and I don't have time to write!! I am hoping that some of the observations I have made during that time will help me with our three required posts.
For now, I will stick to something more relevant to why we are doing this..........
How are you holding up during this class? Do you feel the work is too much, too little, or just right? Hope to hear your thoughts!!
This is my first graduate class, and I am really overwhelmed. I knew it would be difficult, but I am really struggling to keep up with the work and use technology in my mathematics classroom. It has gotten better over the last few days, but I am still extremely nervous about it.
ReplyDeleteI feel that the workload is on target for a 3 hour class; the problem is that the class only lasts 2 weeks. I have worked at least 5 hours on Modules 1 and 2, but it seems today's module is a little less stressful. I am interested in the topic and like being able to put what we study into practice, but I think I taking this class as a semester course could be more manageable for me.
ReplyDeleteWhen I opened up that first module Tuesday I thought there would be no way with a newborn at home, that I would be able to get all that work finished...let's just say THANK GOODNESS FOR GRADNMA!!! Now that I've got my feet wet and understand how to navigate around Sakai it's much better! I really enjoyed Module 3!!! I think most of the work is reasonable, but I have had to do it all so sporadically, that I can't remember what I've done and what I have yet to do!
ReplyDeleteI have one more class after this one and I will be finished. This is not my first online class nor is it my first "intensive" style course. It WILL be my last. I'm spending more time on this than I have any other class in this program. This includes the core stuff. I'm spending 7-9 hours a day on a computer and it is not healthy. I don't think posting this much is necessary. The content I like but the philosophy behind all of this posting is not clear to me. Still...I'll do the work. I always do.Nothing less than an A will do.
